Some of Kevin's Music

Here are a few of Kevin's compositions.

He writes in a wide range of musical styles; this is a random sampling.

My Life in a Cube

A solo piano ode to an old apartment that, thankfully, now only exists in memory.  I'm at the piano here.

A Lovely Love

A short song on the poem by Gwendolyn Brooks.  I'm singing this one.

Fallacy for Saxophone Quartet

Something funky happens early in this recording, but it's over quickly.  The most friendly and understanding saxophonists in the universe.

The Trouble With Large Distances, or, Hartford, Thank You

A simple little piece written during the time I lived in Massachusetts, longing to be with my young nieces in Minnesota.  I spent a lot of time traveling between the Hartford, CT and Minneapolis/St. Paul Airports.

Soliloquy for Distance

A through-composed song cycle for soprano and chamber ensemble on a series of poems I wrote many, many years ago.  Warning: this is a long one.

Wallingford Suite

A violent, surreal, three-part recollection of an incident involving me, a drunk man, and a gun, as told by a virtuosic solo violin.
